This is an original piece based on The Hanged Man tarot card that I composed. One of its meanings is suspension in time. This piece was played using only sounds made from a flute, and then those sounds being edited.
For this recording, I was one of the recording engineers for the live recording. We had both the Bobby BlackHat blues band and the Peninsula Youth Orchestra all together in a room to record this track.
My good friend and composer, Julien Monette, asked me to play over one of his tracks. The background was inspired by a real digital drawing his friend made and I improvised over the track as well as some mixing on the tracks.
